What is energy in Monaco?

Energy in Monaco describes energy production, consumption and importation in the Principality of Monaco. Monaco has no domestic sources of fossil fuels and relies entirely on imports of electricity, gas and fuels from France.

How does Monegasque get its energy transition funding?

It is funded by part of the State's budgetary surplus and a contribution from electricity consumption. The aim of this funding is to provide the Principality with the financial means for long-term action to achieve its energy transition. The White Paper on Energy Transition is the first stage in involving the Monegasque community.
