How can I determine if my ABB unit is faulty?

If restarting is IMPOSSIBLE, it indicates a hardware fault in the Safety System or axis computer. If restarting is POSSIBLE, it indicates a software fault. In such cases, contact your local ABB representative. To determine which unit is faulty, check its indication LEDs, which are described in the Trouble Shooting Manual. Replace the faulty unit.

Why isn't my ABB controller working?

The most common reasons for an ABB controller not working are a break in the communication link cable or a software lock-up. To troubleshoot, first check the communication link cable between the axis computer and the main drive unit, and restart the controller. If the issue persists, contact your local ABB representative.

Why is my ABB system in SYS HALT status?

If your ABB system is in SYS HALT status, it might be due to an incorrect capacitor unit type fitted or an unsupported capacitor version. Check and replace the capacitor unit if necessary. If the problem persists, contact your local ABB representative.
